The Worst Christmas, Ever!
Share December 28, 2008 | Zen Musings
- Sometimes, life really takes a turn for the worse.
- Sometimes, the more you try to live a life of fun and happiness, things DO go wrong.
- Sometimes, the economy is so bad you don’t really have any money to spend for Christmas.
- Sometimes, Christmas just feels colder than usual.
- Sometimes, you get sick during Christmas.
And, when you have to call 911 on Christmas Eve… when early on Christmas Day, you and your family are experiencing fear and panic instead of joy and happiness… there’s really something wrong with that picture!
But I still live my life focused on Zen and trying to achieve wisdom, enlightenment and clarity… despite the odds.
Though terrible things happen…
It’s best to walk the path toward enlightenment, as if looking at the beautiful moon while standing in a mud pit.
Life is suffering… as the Buddha said…
Yet, there is way… a path to freedom that I must believe in, if nothing else…
We are warriors!
We must challenge our demons, and fight!
We are warriors!
We must brave the cold, and weather the storm…

((((Hugs)))) Sorry the holiday was so rough! I hope everyone is okay.
Hoping everything is ok, Carlos.
Why’d you call 911 during Christmas?
basically, someone threatened my family and I. and i had to call 911 for our safety.

so far we’re okay. we’re trying to move on…. but we are extra careful about not getting into a similar situation again.

we’re not quite out of the woods yet… but, i just might post a private entry and give the password to certain people. ;o)
Oh no. I hope you’ll stay safe. Here’s wishing that it didn’t cast a pall on your new year, too. :(
Have a blessed new year to you and your family, Carlos.
