Positive Thinking Must Be A Superpower

Life is tough sometimes… can everyone agree with me?

Well, from past experiences, as positive as I try to be, negative things will occur.

If you believe in the power of positive thinking, you believe that our thoughts (however small) can affect us. And if we ARE what we think then therefore we must always try to think positive thoughts, and have a positive outlook on life.

Positive mental attitude, is a psychological term which describes a mental phenomenon in which the central idea is that one can increase achievement through optimistic thought processes. PMA implies that one has a vision of good natured change in one’s mind; it employs a state of mind that continues to seek, find and execute ways to win, or find a desirable outcome, regardless of the circumstances. It rejects negativity, defeatism and hopelessness. Part of the process of achieving PMA employs motivating “self talk” and deliberate goal-directed thinking.

And when things get rough, you look upon it as a challenge and you try to not get too affected and try to find a solution to the problem.

What if we are upset over something, anything?

Well, from my experience, the best thing is to try to get through it by keeping busy, meditating, thinking positive thoughts. Try to calmly find a solution to whatever it is that’s bothering you.

Positive thinking is a discipline that trains the human mind to change a perceived reality by repeatedly making positive mental statements. A person practices positive thinking when they derive a positive sense of well being, optimism, belonging, meaning and/or purpose from being part of and contributing back to something larger and more permanent than themselves. Positive thinking is a process of choosing positive emotions from stimuli in the environment and applying them to perceptions and beliefs. The objective is to create an outlook that translates into a new or better chosen reality.

Sometimes it can be hard. I’m not going to pretend that things are always great. They are not and that’s a simple fact. But I do try to live life through rose tinted glasses.

I always try to look at the positive side, even though the current economy is in a shambles (and I think many of us are in denial), or one may be out of a job.

I personally am worried by the “signs” I see around me. Stores closing, restaurants not as busy and a few closing down here and there. Things that potentially can greatly affect my own career and future.

But, I continue on…

And try to keep my positive outlook on life. Meditate, do yogic breathing exercises, hope and pray…

And when times are really tough. About all we can do is hope, and pray…
