Daily Links: The Plugin Edition
I assume that many of you started off the New Year with a fresh new version of Wordpress 2.7 (whether at Wordpress.com or on your own server).
So I thought I would share with you the latest plugins that I find very useful on my own blog.
Wordpress Mobile Plugin
I love this plugin. Because it simply makes your blog “mobile friendly”. And many of you are surfing your favorite sites from your cellphones. In other words, you’re going “mo-bile”!
That said, my blog looked horrendous on cellphones because it had a hard time parsing the CSS and javascript code properly. This plugin makes your blog very readable and easy to surf, while allowing you to monetize (via Adsense if you have an account) your blog from cellphones too.
WordPress Mobile Plugin was developed to make your blog mobile friendly, bring you more mobile traffic and make you money on the mobile web!
More people than ever are surfing on mobile devices, making your blog work on mobiles is easy. It gives users a better experience and more reasons to return!
Simple Archive Generator
I’ve been having my issues with various archival plugins. And I’ve tried using the Wordpress archive that comes with the original software. I like this one a lot because it’s simple, yet you have quite a few options to choose from to modify the look of your archives page.
Reveal IDs for WP Admin
This one is sort of a hackeresque plugin that simply will display the ID numbers for categories, pages, posts, tags, etc. This is very useful when coding special functions to hide or feature certain categories, pages, etc.
On raw2zen.com, this plugin works well in identifying posts that I want to feature or headline, or categories that I only want to display on the front page (great for magazine-style blogs).
Exec-PHP
This is basically an “oldie but goodie” plugin, but it has been upgraded throughout the years to make it very easy to use. Just insert your PHP code into any post or page and it WILL execute. Just be sure to test your code first and be careful (knowledge is power, right?) so that your blog doesn’t “blow up”!
StatPressCN
If you feel your webtracking account isn’t enough. If you feel your account at Google Analytics isn’t enough. There is this wonderful plugin that shows you traffic stats in “real time” and features all sorts of lists to track from where and how your visitors got to your blog. Extremely useful.
