Sunday Potpourri

Flower Fields in Carlsbad (2008)

  • We had to advance our clocks ahead one hour here. I’m feeling okay so far. I woke up at 7:45am but it suddenly became 8:45am.
  • I have a gig at 4:30pm today. The Coeur de Cuisine Gala, a high society fundraiser at the Center for the Performing Arts in Escondido.
  • Afterwards, my wife and I will drive our oldest son back to UC Riverside.
  • Just got back from Mitsuwa, a local Japanese market. Bought my son eel sushi and the good ramen to take back with him to college.
  • I confess that I’ve gone back to being a high raw vegan. But, I’m transitioning back to being 100% raw vegan. It doesn’t feel good eating cooked foods again. I don’t recommend it to any 100% raw vegans out there. Going back to cooked food (even if just a little) does a number on your digestive system. And I don’t have as much energy and don’t feel as good. I’ve been feeling irritable and slightly depressed.
  • For the week prior to Good Friday and Easter, I plan to do a fast. I’m going to prepare carefully from now until the Sunday before Easter so that I will have a very successful fast.
  • I almost bought a nice stage piano/keyboard yesterday, but walked away. I still need to do some research online.
  • Today is a nice, sunny day in San Diego, though it feels quite cold. The flowers are starting to bloom everywhere. We are quickly moving into Spring….

  • Thank you, Wendi! Your positive spirit is very much appreciated! :o)
  • Send some of that warm sunshine my way, please! ;-)

Carlos, it's awesome that you tried cooked foods and felt what it did to your body, mind, spirit, emotions. It will help you achieve your goal of being even healthier and eating 100% raw when you know what happens when you don't. Your mood has definitely been lighter, more uplifted on raw than when you were eating cooked foods. I look forward to hearing how things go for you. :-)

    Lots of love to you,

    Wendi
    XOXOXO
