In Search of the Elusive Six Pack

The Search Begins…
I sometimes wonder, is there hope for someone like me, to finally get into top physical shape and even to have “six pack” abs of steel?
At my age? At 51?
I think it’s doubtful, folks, but why not entertain the idea that if I worked hard for the next 4 weeks perhaps I can find that washboard stomach beneath the layers of subcutaneous fat.
Supposedly, each and everyone of us has a six-pack. We just have to work out until we’ve reduced our fat percentage to zilch and tada… you’ve got it.
I’ve heard many of the basics to getting a six-pack, although I really have yet to implement those techniques to the point where it becomes a regular habit.
Well, I’ve been reading the following from various sources online:
- Don’t eat after 7pm, so that your body burns the fat off while you sleep.
- Make sure you are doing enough cardio each day to maximize fat burning.
- Crunchs and sit-ups and various abdominal exercises will strengthen and tighten that region, but you seriously have to do some form of regular weekly workout to burn off the fat.
Introducing, Turbulence Training
Turbulence Training looks to be one tried-and-true method, developed by Craig Ballantyne, a strength and conditioning coach, and a writer for Men’s Health and Men’s Fitness magazines.
The training basically consists of 3 short workouts per week while following a specific healthy diet, and de-emphasizes a lot of cardio. Well, this sounds pretty easy and less time consuming. And the details are revealed in a 118 page ebook that is available for download.
For perfecting that elusive six-pack, it appears Turbulence Training could be a key worth mentioning. And the training is designed for the busy person who’s already finding it hard to get enough gym time each week, and juggling family and work as well.
Well it’s apparent that Turbulence Training might be the perfect plan for me. So I’ll just have to try this out. It definitely inspires me to work hard to get into better shape.
And when I get that six-pack going I’ll be sure to take lots of pics! I’m on a mission so wish me luck….
