Why I Can Never Go Back To Cooked Foods

Food and eating is a very social event. I think everyone knows that. Though I’m feeling so much better and healthier eating 100% raw foods, I still have problems feeling like the odd person at family get-togethers and other social events. After all, there is a psychology to food and eating as well.

But I can never go back. Not after last months episode with trying to go back to eating cooked foods, even just a little bit. I mentioned this before that it felt like huge rocks were in my stomach and I became quite constipated.

Someone told me she experienced the opposite, that when she eats raw foods it has the opposite effect. But, what I’ve realized is that the body adjusts to a different foods. And I can feel the difference, energy-wise, between eating raw foods and cooked foods now.

Of course, the bottom line is that it depends on a lot of factors. Some people are lactose intolerant. Others aren’t. Just one example of how our bodies are different from the next person.

I definitely know now that I am lactose intolerant. I even tried raw milk and I had the worst headache that radiated down from my head to my neck and shoulders. This had never ever happened to me before, until I drank (raw) milk again.

And I am gluten intolerant, meaning that if I have any kind of bread or pasta I have a bad reaction to it. But I can eat raw essene bread. So the main thing is I’m learning that I must continue on a 100% raw vegan diet.

And, thus the journey continues….
