Following The Beat of a Different Drummer

The reality is… You have to accept yourself first, and not depend on others accepting you, nor wait for their approval. You have to follow your own inner compass.

Ready for Meditation - pt. 1

Don’t have an inner compass?

Well, that’s a good question to ponder…

What things, places and people inspire you?

Look to those who seem to be paving the way; who seem to be a good teacher or guru for you.

Look to the masters.

It could be someone you come in contact with personally or someone you admire from afar and wish to emulate.

Find people who inspire you; then do your own thing. Create your own journey.

Perseverance, dedication and devotion to your journey is essential. Doing those things that will get you there is also essential.

You are not a failure. Even though people might tell you so.

No one has it all sewn up. People who claim or appear to be infinitely more successful than you might be hiding inner demons.

You are not a failure.

We are all on a steady progression towards becoming better human beings. It is a process. An ongoing process.

You are not a failure.

But it takes great effort to do great things.

Find your life’s passion, and strive to fulfill it, and don’t give up. Continue to persevere.

And make sure you create alternate paths for yourself in case one becomes blocked.

Usually, there is more than one way to get to where you are going.

But be sure you enjoy the journey and take in all the beautiful sights, sounds, colours, textures….

Strive to be at peace, and strive to keep an open, clear mind. Your journey will be a more pleasant, meaningful one.

But find that inner compass to help you on your journey…

  • Shell - it's not a very big room, but it's nicely set up for prayer and meditation and yoga. :o)

So, you're not inspired by any person, place or thing right now? Hmm.... well, I guess people get motivated by different things. I'm you have a heart's desire.

When I was younger I wasn't so sure... I was doing a lot of soul searching, myself.
  • Your living room is lovely! It exudes peace and serenity.

However, the question your post has made me ponder is what things, people, and places inspire me. This question always stumps me and my uninspired self, apparently.
