Lots of Twitter news this week, so I thought I’d post some notable tidbits I’ve been aware of, and share them with you.
Think Before You Tweet!
“TIMES are tough for the “tweet before you think” crowd.
Courtney Love was sued by a fashion designer after she posted a series of inflammatory tweets, one calling the designer a liar and a thief. A landlord in Chicago sued a tenant for $50,000 after she tweeted about her moldy apartment. And Demi Moore slapped back at Perez Hilton over a revealing photograph of the actress’s daughter.”
People, people! Show some sense of decorum! It’s just interesting that people will fly-off-the-handle, and someone else will sue them. Twittequette, please!
Challenging Our Freedom of Speech on Twitter
I really don’t know what to make of this, since we don’t have all the details. But police arrested two individuals for twittering to other demonstrators information of which routes to avoid when protesting. Police contend the two were helping unlawful protestors, and this further challenges the rules of free speech on Twitter. Of course, people can sue other people for what they say on Twitter, so say things freely, but pay the consequences.
Please Pray For Elizabeth Taylor
Celebrity actress Elizabeth Taylor “tweeted” that she was going in for a special type of heart surgery, and asked that we pray for her. Sending our prayers your way, and hope you get through to a speedy recovery.
Twitter and Facebook Coming To an XBox 360 Near You!
I think this is a cool idea, though tweeting from your XBox 360 it sure to be more limited via the game console, and still so much easier on your cellphone or laptop computer (on the go). So….
