No God. Know Peace.
Some interesting trending topics on Twitter Tuesday.
Right now the number one trending topic is “No God”.
It’s interesting because it stirs up once again the whole debate about whether God exists or not, between atheists and believers.
Here’s Twitter’s description for this trending topic:
People were RTing @revrunwisdom: “Know God… Know Peace. No God.. No Peace!.” The trend has sparked some other discussion about whether there is a god or not.
- So, originating from @revrunwisdom, the original quote is: “Know God… Know Peace. No God.. No Peace!”
And an offshoot of this trending topic was “Know Peace”.
Stars Leaking Movie Information on Twitter
- I guess a potential problem with movie stars being on Twitter is the possibility of leaking information to the public about information the Film Studios want kept a secret, at least for now until the film is actually released.
Cameron Diaz and Mike Myers are among stars who have had clauses added to their contracts forbidding them from leaking movie secrets on social network sites like Twitter.
Film studios wants to stop stars leaking information about the movies they are working on, on their Twitter and Facebook pages, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
More Than 5 Billion Tweets Served!
[ via TheStandard.com ]
According to GigaTweet, the number of tweets passed the five billion mark earlier this week. We’re not sure how long the service has been going or how its dynamic counter measures tweets, but Mashable’s Barb Dybwad notes that the counter stood at nearly 1.6 billion tweets on April 23, meaning in six months Twitter has apparently experienced more than 200% growth in the number of tweets.
- Wow! That’s a lot of tweetage. It reminds me of the McDonald’s sign saying “over 100 billion hamburgers served”. Is that right? Over 100 billion?
YouTube Launches Twitteresque Comments Section
[via PCMag.com ]
YouTube is incorporating some Twitter-esque upgrades to its comments section. The Google-owned video site is launching a beta–or Test Tube–version of Comments Search, which will let users search YouTube comments in real time.
- You can check it out here but YouTube is adopting a comments section similar to Twitter’s feed. And, this is something similar to what Facebook also added to their front page. Hmm… all the big social media & networking sites “borrowing” from each other, like one big happy family.
