Thrifty Zen: A Zen Approach to Frugal Living

I recently launched Thrifty Zen, a website that will explore ways to live a more simple, less complicated way of Life. In a modern world where everything seems to move so quickly, technology developing so rapidly, it’s important to take a few steps back and re-assess one’s quality (and quantity) of Life.

. . . .

Topics to Be Explored

At Thrifty Zen, I hope to branch out from the Zen Garden and focus specifically on the following topics:

  • Getting by with less, yet getting more out of life.
  • Saving more money, in order to do more.
  • Living a simpler, but more happier and enriching life.

Do I need to add more items? Perhaps not, in order to further simplify the goal… the journey.

Zen and the Art of Living Simply

My first “hello world” post pretty much sums it up.

The new design, thanks to the Hybrid wordpress theme, is appropriate in keeping with a simple Zen look, Although, I admit it looks a little like Leo Babuata’s Zen Habits blog. Though, not intentional.

From here on, the Thrifty Zen site will go through a metamorphosis and develop its own look and feel, as we continue to explore ways in which to live a more simpler, more frugal lifestyle. So, join me in the journey as we focus more on Thrifty Zen.

Signs of Virtue

Now for those of you who missed the launch of my first ever ebook. Click on the book’s image to the right to get to the ebook page.

Signs of Virtue is a collection of 66 pages of Zen inspired poetry that I’ve written over the course of my lifetime. It includes some of my photography, and it’s a labor of love that has finally come to fruition.

I’m offering the book at the reasonable price of $10.99. The ebook page features sample pages from the book.

I hope you take the time to download it.
