[Photos] Ecstatic Over My Birthday Present
So, yesterday was my birthday and I had an exceptionally great day, thanks to my wife, who treated me out to Japanese cuisine (vegan-style) and gave me a very cool and amazing birthday present, a brand new 13.3″ Macbook Air!
In fact, I was admiring the Macbook Air 5 years ago when I wrote a quick blog post about it: Macbook Air: World’s Thinnest Notebook
A little backstory. This was an item I long wished for, a new laptop or ultrabook, since my old HP Laptop is a dinosaur at 8 years old, and slow like a Brontosaurus rather than a fast Velociraptor!
But, for the past 4 years I’d been dealing with a slow, outdated laptop, that had been upgraded and tweaked to it’s full potential with RAM upgrades, etc. And, I even went with Ubuntu Linux, moving to a faster Operating System. But, it still performed in a clunky way and the CD-ROM drive was even broken.
So, I’m back up-to-speed with a fast, very light and thin ultrabook!
