Feedly: An Excellent Alternative for Replacing Google Reader

Google Reader

As many of you now know, the demise of Google Reader is coming. As a matter of fact, mark your calendars because the date is July 1, 2013.

I’ll be honest with you, I never really liked Google Reader all that much. I mean, I’m particular about the user interface and frankly, Google Reader just wasn’t cutting-it-for-me, so to speak.

That said, I’ve been a user of Feedly for quite some time now, then, like what might happen to anyone in the online world; I got distracted and focused on something else.

I was even using NetVibes for some time.

Feedly’s Elegant Design

But, I just want to say that I find the latest incarnation of Feedly to be a very amazing feed reader. It has a nice digital magazine-style look, and I noticed that it’s faster than NetVibes and even the desktop app, Feed Demon! And while I like Feed Demon’s features and design, for me it is just too slow. It’s quite frustrating. Okay, I use Feed Demon with Windows 7, it’s still slow.

Now with NetVibes (which is a web reader like Google Reader and Feedly) I’m also frustrated at how slow it is. And although I tend to be drawn to the web readers because you can read them from any computer, anywhere, I have to say that Feedly is faster than NetVibes.
