Most of us treat food like it’s something that pleasures us; that is a feast for the senses.
Sure, that is an important aspect of eating. But, the food we eat acts to nourish our bodies, so how are we to know for sure if our bodies are getting the proper nutrition?
After all, if we crave something that is less nourishing, only because it tastes good to us, and many of us are aware of the attraction to fast food restaurants, even though the food might not be as nourishing and nutritious.
So, we have to rethink how we approach food. We have to unlearn what we have learned, and try to eat healthier for our bodies.
But at the same time, there should be a balance. Of course, going to extremes is not a good way to go either, as we all know many people have relapses and revert back to their old bad habits.
Food is fuel.
Food is nourishment.
Food is a way of life.
Food is the code in which we stay alive.
We are computer programmers for our ongoing survival…
And, with that in mind, I’m trying my best today to get back on track.

Medium-Size Bag of Popcorn
1 Cup of Iced Water
Afternoon Tea – 3:30pm
A nice Zen Meal!
Nigiri Sushi ~ Salmon, Yellowtail, Mackerel
Asian Pear ~ 1/4, diced
Miso Soup ~ 1 cup
Genmaicha Tea ~ 1 cup
