A Serene Yoga Routine

Yoga 033I did an hour and twenty minutes worth of yoga this Sunday morning.

Finally, I felt that sense of peace and serenity I’d been striving for all week. I’d been doing short, semi-focused yoga routines the past several days. And today I just fell into the groove.

Things I’ve noticed:

  • I can get into the headstand effortlessly when sun salutations and poses leading up to the headstand are done with successful concentration and total relaxation.
  • And getting into the lotus pose is the same way, when my whole routine was done well.

So, afterward, I was able to meditate in lotus pose for several minutes with ease and deeper concentration. And when that sense of peace and serenity permeates your entire being, it carries well throughout the rest of the day…

Just how do you do it?
I’m still trying to find my center as my mind tends to get really clouded by daily worries. Perhaps am not emotionally and spiritually mature as yet.

after all this time i still think it’s hard work. yes, lots of daily stresses, out on the street, on the freeways, at work, family obligations…

the important thing i’ve learned is to be committed to spending a few minutes a day to meditate and practice yoga. and it gets challenging because sometimes the mind doesn’t want to do that which will make things easier.

but the more one practices those things that calm the mind and de-stresses it, then it does become easier.

nectar for some and poison for others, difference is in placement of planets, aspects and free will , the question is too wide to answer but if some experiences are repeated year after year it will be from natal otherwise transit.
