Buddha Altar

Music has healing properties…

Is this true?

Perhaps it depends on the music.

One thing’s for sure, people get enjoyment out of listening to music, whether it be Heavy Metal or Sitar Music from India.

The question of course is whether Music affects us on a subliminal level.

Would Mozart chamber music or a Bach string section offer music that soothes the soul? Or would it simply bore one to death?

Millions of people are into the Popular Music of the day. This might include the typical Pop stuff, Hip Hop and Rap, as well as Alternative Rock. They expect a certain groove, or there might be a standard way of writing music.

For many, for music to fall outside the realm of today’s current music would not be right. Anything eclectic or 100% original would be too foreign or unapproachable.

But there are music for certain moods. Music for massage and yoga. Today, there is music to fit every need.

So, calming and relaxing music has a purpose. And in this stressful day and age, we truly need more stress-relieving music in our lives. In fact, our health depends on it!

Here’s an album I recently downloaded and getting into lately…
