Autumnal Equinox Edition: Friday, September 22, 2017

Nothing much to report, other than today being the Autumnal Equinox 2017.

I’m taking a couple of days semi-rest before this weekend’s gigs, which I’m doing a wedding downtown on Saturday and back to Centifonti’s in La Mesa on Sunday from 5:30 to 7:30pm.

The weather is definitely cooling down and it was quite cold last night as it was a time to bundle up under the blankets for a change, although the weather report says it’ll get to Summer temperatures again next week.

I had one of my better piano gigs at Memory Care, although I was still feeling tired from a gig the night before at The Kraken in Cardiff.

Yesterday, I took a break from Yoga, which I was able to do on Monday and Wednesday. I’ll try to do a home routine this morning for maybe 35 minutes.

As far as piano practice goes, it’s mostly Beethoven’s 2nd movement of the Pathetique Sonata. And Mozart’s Rondo ala Turka.

Yoga is really helping me gain more energy and stamina to get through the days. This is a great thing considering I’m almost 60 years old.

We were planning a day trip to Julian but the weather was cold and overcast. Maybe we’ll try next week.

Last Tuesday we had lunch at The Prado. And I was able to have a vegan salad and their savory black bean soup.

Okay, more updates later…
