For years I’ve been managing my own backyard garden and slowly trying to cultivate it into a nice quiet meditation garden.
I’ve been successful, but living in California with the multi-year drought continuing to affect our lawns and gardens, it’s been a tough road these past couple of years.
One thing I’ve been utilizing has been drip irrigation, and simply trying to accept the fact that I need to grow plants that survive and are drought tolerant in the harsh SoCal drought.
And I have a small collection of hybrid tea roses that I am helping to survive with this drip irrigation.
This year in 2016, I am committed to cultivating a beautiful rose garden and meditational garden, improving on what I know while using drip irrigation, worm castings from my own worm farm, and managing a successful compost pile.
For now, I’ll post the best of the Zen Garden to help me gain the inspiration to see this project through.
