Bitcoin: “a type of digital currency in which encryption techniques are used to regulate the generation of units of currency and verify the transfer of funds, operating independently of a central bank.”

Bitcoin as an investment is making me wonder whether I’m an old school, conservative investor or simply out-of-touch with the impending future of investing.

But here’s the thing…

To me, Bitcoin is a highly speculative investment. I mean, it’s a cryptocurrency, and I don’t even invest in dollars or euros!

Plus, I like to invest in companies, because they are the gears of our economy. There are people in those companies that actually work toward a common goal, whether it’s to provide services, sell products or both. And, they all want to become highly profitable!

Yes, highly speculative. And, even the stock market can be treated like a gambling house if you trade that way.

But, I’ve realized that I invest in companies and the people who run them.

And that is the big difference.

Besides, I can’t even afford 1 Bitcoin!
