What More Can Be Said That Hasn’t Already Been Said
There was a time when I wasn’t sure of myself. And although I have a lot more confidence and self-assurance as a human being today, I feel humbled, and feel like a child amidst the unfolding universe.
My recent journeys this year to China, Tibet, Nepal and India, have shown me that when people have a firm belief in something, they can build great monuments, temples and statues in the name of that belief.
Buddha, Shiva, Vishnu, Brahma, Krishna and Allah have been revered the world over. And Christ has been honored the world over as well.
A people’s belief system can be made real with these monuments, statues and temples and churches.
But, it stems from that inner faith and belief within.
And it is this inner strength that I admire around the world.
In India, I’ve seen the poorest people who seem happier than us Americans (who have much more to be thankful and grateful for), yet many of us aren’t as happy.
Maybe sophistication and a more developed society doesn’t necessarily translate to happiness.
Happiness needs to come from within.
We have to develop an inner happiness generator.
I wish I could do that automatically, but perhaps it can be lost with the loss of our innocence.
But I believe in my heart of hearts, that I have an inner strength and belief system. And, I believe everyone has their own special inner strength. We all must trust in our inner strength.
And I pity those who have no moral compass or inner faith and strength to work from.
Many people are lost, relying on material wealth, luxuries and gadgets to make them happy, only to become dissatisfied since these things can only bring temporary happiness.
For the material world is no means to an end.
Which brings people to search inward.
And those who put their concentration and focus on those holy spirits such as Jesus and Buddha seek something more spiritual and uplifting.
That happiness can be found in the practice of compassion and love.
And that is the reason for the season, as many proclaim.
And that is why I love music so much. Although we use material things to create music. The sounds that are produced are intangible and hark to a higher frequency, to sounds that uplift our souls.
I think deep down we yearn for the knowledge and truth, to follow the path to this higher frequency.
Because we long for something more than what this limited material world can bring us.
We long for truth, compassion and an impartial love for all living beings.
May your holiday season be joyous and full of the light of love and compassion.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all…
