Clearing Your Mind of Negative Thoughts and Creating Positive Flow

Anini Beach

I, for one, admit that I don’t have all the answers.

But I do know one thing, based on my experience as a musician. Any type of negative thoughts or animosity toward other musicians on stage will only cause a negative vibe, and can ultimately lead to some negative turn of events. Like, someone getting fired, or the band breaking up.

From my experience as a musician, a loving positive vibe will translate positively to the audience and especially to the dancers if you are a dance band.

That is why meditation is so important. I mean, successful bands like Earth, Wind & Fire have been known to meditate and pray before concerts. Even Michael Jackson was known to huddle the musicians together in prayer and to chant positive affirmations before a show.

To the skeptic, of course these practices mean nothing, but it really can help to put on a good show.

Creating a positive flow is essential to your very being. If you are hanging onto negative thoughts, they are like thorns in your brain. They can only hurt you in the long run because your way of thinking is not positive. In order to really be successful in your life you have to generate a very positive energy and being entirely accountable for your own actions.

I don’t know of anyone who can benefit from harboring a grudge, or being jealous and spiteful towards others. It only helps to create bitterness and negative thoughts and feelings within which will only make you a very bitter person, not a better person.

Creativity by itself is based on a positive flow of energy to create a work of art, or a piece of music, all founded on inspiration that can only be made with a positive creative flow.

Anyway, if you ever find yourself thinking negative thoughts, meditate!

Close your eyes for a moment, and just clear your mind of all thoughts running through your mind.

If you find yourself getting upset or angry for whatever reason, take in slow deep breaths for a few minutes. Breathing is very essential to Yoga and specifically Meditation, one of the 8 limbs of Yoga.
