D5: Reasons to Go Easy with the #Juicing during #Detox

Cacao Smoothie

Juicing can be a powerful addition to a healthy diet, but from my experience you have to ease into it.

For one, fruit juices CAN be harmful to your health.

And I don’t care what anyone says, it really depends on the person’s dietary history and overall health going into juicing.

My advice to anyone who’s starting with juicing for the first time?

Transition slowly into it. Perhaps start by doing shots of vegetable & fruit juice. And by shots, I mean those little small glasses normally used for Bourbon and Whiskey.

And buy organic fruits and vegetables for juicing.

Needless to say, you have to make sure your protein requirements are met somehow.

Really enjoying these posts! We got a nice Blendtec blender at the beginning of summer, and I have been enjoying a lot of green smoothies. I’ve been wondering about juicers too.

Blendtec! That’s a good quality blender.

I have a Krups that is just okay (I should get a better one. Blendtec or Vitamix would be great!)

I have a “manual” juicer! So, I have to hand crank that. Well, at least I save a little on electricity and burn a few calories using it. 😉
