DOW Down 666 Points: So What’s Your Strategy?

DOW Down 666 Points: So What’s Your Strategy?

Today’s brutal trading session is finally over. What a day!

Now, what to make of it, and will this continue on Monday?

Another burning question remains… is this the big correction many were predicting, since many analysts were saying that the stock market was getting ahead of itself?

Does this all have to do with rising interest rates?

To be honest, this all happened on a day when the biggest, most successful companies in Corporate America, had posted record earnings!!!

Amazon was one of the few stocks in the green, and gapped up due to record breaking earnings. Apple too posted record earnings and revenue growth, BUT… they didn’t sell as many iPhones as same time last year! This weird anomaly is most likely due to the $1K+ iPhone X, basically being too expensive for the general masses. So thus, Apple’s stock price plummeted today.

Meanwhile, Amazon’s earnings when through the roof, adding billions more to Jeff Bezos’ net wealth, and solidifying his place as the richest person in the world!

The only stock in the portfolio that was green was Shopify (SHOP). Everything else was deep in the red.

But, my strategy is to hold long and let this possible correction stabilize.

We’ll see what happens next week, so I’m not going to update my portfolio page until Friday of next week.

Must remain positive!

Note: The stock market is subject to volatility. Trade at your own risk!
