I believe in detoxing a couple of times a year. The body is like a sponge that absorbs toxins and pollution from our environment, and could be one of the causes of cancer, so it’s good to cleanse the system by eating lots of fruits and vegetables and eliminate animal products for awhile. I’m vegan so I don’t have to worry about the animal products, but I’m taking a break from the grains, legumes and seeds, and try to drink a lot more juices and water to help in the cleansing.
