Global Markets Gear Up for Another Tough Day

The bad news: Global Markets are still in sell off mode as stock futures point to another downtrend of 300 points.

The good news: Somewhere there will be a buying point, but the question is when?

Inflation rates are rising sharply while at the same time bond yields are also rising, causing fear of the Federal Reserve raising interest rates.

The fear has escalated into a global sell off of stocks in the U.S., Asian and European Markets.

The U.S. stock market lost 300+ points and 1100+ points respectively on Friday and Monday.

Trump’s Pump and Dump?

All of last year, the stock market had been rallying with President Trump claiming credit for a rallying stock market. Surely, a U.S. president claiming to take credit for the stock market boom could’ve been creating massive hype.

But Trump did travel to Saudi Arabia and Europe to strike deals for U.S. defense contractors, sparking a boost in stocks like Boeing (BA) and Lockheed Martin (LMT). Boeing’s stock turned out to be the best performing stock in 2017.

But the continued rise in the stock market created a scenario in which the markets were getting ahead of itself, and thus an eventual market correction was inevitable at some point. Which brings us to where we are now.

Note: The stock market is subject to volatility. Trade at your own risk!
