Could the Government Shutdown be a Buying Opportunity?




It’s sad that our Federal Government has to shutdown due to political strife and being unable to make compromises between party lines.

But, the last government shutdown was in 2013.

How did the stock market react?

It dipped as soon as the shutdown began, but after a few days it bounced back as soon as the shutdown ended.

With this year’s government shutdown officially taking effect tomorrow on Monday, January 22, 2018, this COULD be a buying opportunity for investors.

I always tell myself to buy on the dips, and in this case, the upcoming possible scenario could cause the stock market to dip a little.

Of course, we don’t know what will happen this coming Monday, but if you are looking for a possible buying point, this COULD be an opportunity.
