one of my friends was telling me i shouldn’t lose too much weight… but, they shouldn’t worry too much because i’m using a ‘nutritional tracker’… and i eat a LOT of food as a Vegan…
for instance, i have two breakfasts. ‘first breakfast’ and ‘second breakfast’ and between the two i’m getting 1,000 calories.
a lot of people shun carbs. i see it all the time, and i used to be on a low carb diet myself when i was an omnivore… for me being a drummer who can do 4-5 hour gigs, i need CARBS. i’ve gotten physically ill on a low carb diet after 6 months. and i remember the night. i was doing a big band gig at Croce’s Top Hat and I suddenly felt weak and could barely get through the gig!!! i was skipping all grains.
think of the race horse… who eats grains, oats, fruits and veggies… they’re very muscular and strong.
for one, they are getting enough protein. and, it’s a low-fat, high carb diet. HCLF diet is the term people use for High Carb Low Fat.
a meat based diet takes too much of your body’s energy to process because of all the saturated fats, uric acids, cholesterol and other byproducts.
so, friends… don’t worry about me too much because i’m using a nutritional tracker and most definitely getting enough nutrients and calories! 🙂
