Leave Well Enough Alone
Let me tell you, I’ve had my share of family drama on both sides of the family. And without getting into all the details, sometimes it’s best to leave well enough alone.
Sometimes, we need to accept things for what they are, of course after we’ve tried our best to make things better. But as the saying goes, “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks”, so to speak.

In the end, it comes to the following quote below:
In other words, there comes a point in one’s life where you have to accept the things you can not change with grace and dignity, and while injecting a little humor in your life as well.
Here’s an example. For me, I’ve accepted the fact that I’m not going to be the next Beethoven or The Beatles, but I accept what talents I have as a musician and apply them daily to my everyday life.
Within reason, I still secretly hope and continue to work on becoming a more successful musician and musical artist, because that’s what keeps us going. The future is still open to possibilities!
The Importance of a Positive Attitude
But to seriously consider the trials and tribulations (and adversities) of daily life, it’s important to always maintain a positive attitude and positive outlook on life. It’s important to self-generate that positive vibe to everyone and everywhere in your immediate surroundings.
But, you have to do this on your own. You can’t rely on the surroundings and your environment to make you happy, because that scenario will betray you. So, the only way is to find it within yourself to generate that positive vibe.
It Will Depend On You
It doesn’t mean to be happy always. Because we are humans. We will succumb to our emotions at times because humans are emotional. But, generating a positive vibe amid adversity is the key goal to focus on. And doing everything you can on a day-to-day basis to keep that positive vibe going is important to your well-being.
How do we do this, actually?
It will depend on you and you alone.
For me, I’m a musician and I love listening to music. Whatever I’m doing, I try to have music playing in the background and I whistle while I work! For me it’s as simple as that.
I also meditate a lot and in various ways. When I go for a walk it is as a meditation. Even work around the house becomes a form of meditation or Yoga, if you will.
The Secret of Yoga
Yoga will help you generate a more positive attitude and outlook on life. Yoga will change your mind for you. And if you have hidden emotions and trauma from years ago, Yoga will unravel them and release them so that you are free of them. Well, at this point you might think that is a bit New Age. But, there really is truth to that and you’d be only skeptical because it simply hasn’t happened to you yet. And you need to have practiced Yoga for some time to get to that point where you experience it.
But to keep it simple.
It all comes into how your mind works and perceives and reacts to outside stimuli.
A bit of soul searching and self-analysis is needed in order to change and get to that positive mindset.
Whatever you do, it’s the small steps that specifically focus on cultivating that positive attitude so that you can begin to have a more positive outlook on life.
You Can Do It
Repeating mantras like that are also a nice little step in the right direction.
You can do it.
You CAN do it.
You can DO it.
You can do IT!
