I’m Saddened That I’ve Lost My Poetical Edge

I’m learned some hard lessons in my Life.

I’ve learned that you may have dreams of ‘making it’ in the Music Industry, but in the end you’re most likely to fall short of the mark. But, it has taught me that one performs Music for the passion and the inspiration, as well as the very act of making people happy, making them dance and groove to the music. And for that, I feel I have fulfilled my life-long dream of being successful.

But another dream I’ve always had was to be a recognized poet, and if you’ve read my writings for a long time, you know that I’ve been writing poetry for decades, and although I was hoping to get some recognition as a poet, that too has fallen by the wayside.

When I finished my eBook of poetry, I was very excited that it would be a success, but alas, I had gotten no recognition for it, and I ended up making it available as a free download because it didn’t catch on. This failure had led me to turn my back on writing poetry & prose, seriously.

Maybe I shouldn’t give up, but I see the obstacles overwhelming and against me.

Once again, if I write, it’s for my own passion, when the creativity to start writing poetry once again arises.

But at the same time, I have accomplished much in the way of poetry, and I’m proud of all the poetry I have written.
