In This World Hate Never Yet Dispelled Hate

Gautama Buddha

In This World…

In this world
Hate never yet dispelled hate.
Only love dispelled hate.
This is the law,
Ancient and inexhaustible.

Gautama Buddha

In this World

The wisdom in the above words by The Buddha is pure logic.

Love can only dispel hate, and history has proven that hatred only continues to perpetuate hatred.

Thus, it seems like a never ending cycle that manifests itself into emotional and physical violence and abuse.

Love on the other hand has the ability to produce more love, and extinguish hate.

How do we know this?

By simply watching the world to see that this natural law works.

You can study certain countries and regions where there seems to be a perpetual war between two nations, and sadly that kind of hate continues on through generations.

Hate is born out of an ‘us and them’ mentality. Even when deep down we are all the same and want the very basics of life, and that’s simply to be happy.

It’s sad when happiness is attained at the misfortune and suffering of others.

In the end, we must share this planet that we live on, simply because there is no replacement for this blue world we call home…
