Labor Day Weekend: Sunday, September 3, 2017

Not much happening this weekend, although I have a big wedding reception to do later today with Third Coast Jazz in Rancho Santa Fe. I’m told it might rain, so we hope they have provisions to take the wedding indoors, because I think this is supposed to be an outdoor wedding.

Granted, the weather has been atrociously HOT and around 100F, with humidity, very unlike San Diego weather. And as I said in my previous post, I’d been envious of those who already have central AC as our family doesn’t, and so we suffer because it gets to a point where the electric fans just don’t work. You need AC in order to survive.

My thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by Hurricane Harvey, and they are still suffering the effects as many of lost their homes and have been displaced. The cleanup and repair might take years, it might take 6 months. Either way it’ll be a big transition to get back to normalcy again.

I made a donation to the Huricane Harvey relief fund. I hope my little contribution will go a long way to help those in need. If at least to give someone a hot meal and some water.

Just in case I don’t post something tomorrow, Happy Labor Day to everyone!
