Looking Ahead to a Brighter Stock Market…

Looking Ahead to a Brighter Stock Market…

So, the stock market had it’s worst day in 2 years, now what?

Well, the thing to do is to ask yourself?

Am I a trader, or an investor?

And in situations like this, where the markets have plummeted and you stood the chance of losing thousands of dollars,
the answer is: investor!

Think ‘Warren Buffett’.

Think ‘Value Investing’.

Investors invest in the company, not the stock price. So, you have to assess the value of the company and its ability to bounce back in the long term.

And the thing to remember is this, any trades that have resulted in negative P/L, the losses are just on paper, and you only lose when you sell a losing stock. Then it becomes reality.

But you have to assess the value and ability of the company to bounce back. And if the company isn’t doing well, then you sell and cut your losses, and free up that money for new stock purchases.

When you hold long term and your positions have profited immensely, even a downturn in the markets like what happened on Friday, will all smooth out in the long run.

Sometimes, non-action is just as important as action.

Think Zen investing, cultivate patience and a calm mindset when investing.

Note: The stock market is subject to volatility. Trade at your own risk!
