As a drummer who is constantly moving all limbs during performances, gigging from 3 to 5 hours at a time, sometimes in harsh conditions, with tough load times and moving my drums and equipment to and from the stage… well, as a working drummer I get super hungry on the way home.
It’s those late night drives home that I get the incredible urge to go to…. well…. to In-n-Out to get some fries! And sometimes I buy two orders of fries, depending on a couple of different factors.
- 1. Did the gig go extremely well? In that case I earned two orders of fries.
- 2. Did the gig not go so well? In that case I’m a little depressed and I still need two orders of fries.
- 3. A light, casual gig? Meh, just an order of fries.
The good part is I don’t drink sodas, and I always ask for a cup of iced water.
Anyway, that’s my confession for today. And although I am still a vegan, ordering fries from a fast food establishment isn’t the healthiest of choices. But, I guess I deserve some sort of cheat meal somewhere in the week, since I’ve been good with being vegan and (for the most part) eating a super-clean vegan diet throughout the week.
LOL. Now I’m craving fries!
But potatoes ARE good for you, and there’s a lot of protein in them for the vegan.
