Making The Jump To HDTV

Sony Bravia HDTV
40″ BRAVIA® S-Series LCD Flat Panel HDTV

So, today I’ve been busy helping my parents get their brand new HDTV all set up. This included assembly of the stand/base that would hold their cable box, DVD player, etc. Plus, we had to go to the cable company to swap the old cable box for a new HD converter box. And after configuring all the cables and components to the new TV, and having the cable company activate the new HD service, we were all ready to watch…. nice!

So, my folks are ready to see Amy Poehler do another Rap For Palin or watch Tina Fey do another Sarah Palin impression.

Nice, we got a 42″ LCD late last year and HD is really great. We got the “Insignia” brand from Best Buy and now has a line down the center, we need to use our extended warranty!

Pat: Cool! HDTV is definitely the way to go. My parents’ 1st time and they picked this new TV on their own. They just called me the other day and I went there and the TV was still in the box. It was a little bit of work assembling the shelf/base thingy.

Oh no… you have a line going down the center of your TV screen? Well, extended warranties are good. Hope you get that fixed.
