Monday, April 16, 2018: DOW Up 212.90 Points, Winners FDX RTN CAT STLD

Minor Rally So Far This Morning

We are on a minor rally and things look pretty good today. Portfolio winners include: FDX, RTN CAT and STLD.

Caterpillar (CAT) was hovering close to the 200 moving day average on the 6 month chart, but now it seems to be bouncing back.

Raytheon (RTN) has a nice uptrend in the 6 month charts, and was the top performer overall in the portfolio.

Steel Dynamics (STLD) is a new acquisition, betting on steel companies getting a new boost from Donald Trump, but the steel tariffs themselves could actually hurt the steel industry, and every U.S. company, but we shall see if these so-called tariffs have an effect on anything.

Today’s Featured Stock

FedEx (FDX)

FDX hasn’t handled the market correction too well, dropping from a high of 274.66 down to a low of around 231 where it touch the 200 day moving average (not good).
