Piano Phantasies in the Key of G Major

yesterday’s piano gig at memory care was quite surreal… one of the ladies said ‘i love you’… and when i was finished another lady asked, ‘are you going to start soon?’ one of the men yelled out, ‘he’s already done!’

i did the Beethoven Sonata Pathetique 2nd movement to end the performance, but they wanted more… so i officially ended with ‘take me out to the ballgame’, which is always a great sing-a-long tune.

i don’t go by a set list any more. so some surprise tunes that popped up…

1. theme from ‘somewhere in time’
2. malaguena
3. theme from ‘bridge on the river kwai
4. caravan

favorites they seem to always love…

1. oh danny boy
2. star spangled banner
3. america the beautiful
4. by the light of the silvery moon
5. take me out to the ballgame
6. let me call you sweetheart
7. a bicycle built for two

the old folks love traditional and patriotic songs…
