Grand Piano

I’m having a great time playing piano for a local Memory Care Unit. It’s fun and challenging to play the gamut of songs from old time stride piano tunes to standards to sing-a-longs. I just got word that I’ll be continuing this project into New Year 2017, so I’m pretty stoked about that.

Wish me luck, and let’s hope this weekly gig continues with success.

I have a corporate gig tonight at a bank in Escondido for a couple of hours with some fine musicians. Looking forward to that as it’s a quick two hour gig. This will be a drumming gig for me. I’m stoked.

I also had a great 3 hour piano practice session at home.

I’m working on perfecting some songs like The Wind by Keith Jarrett. Well, it’s Keith Jarrett’s version that I’m after and I’m almost ready to play this one live.

Also, I’m working on the open theme to the movie On Golden Pond. One of my favorites, and it’s nice to finally get this one happening in the original key of G major.

More piano updates to come….
