The Best Raw Vegan Sandwich Ever!

This is my all-time favorite Raw Vegan Sandwich. It’s quite easy to make, and it’s a good mix of some very healthy ingredients. Just put these ingredients together into a sandwich and that’s it.

Of course, you’ll have to cut some tomato and onion slices, and slap on some vegan mayonaise and avocado. But, the time it takes to make this is less than 15 minutes. Maybe 10 minutes, so it’s quick and easy, with a LOT of raw ingredients, though it’s not 100% raw, just to make all you raw foodists aware if this.

Here’s a sandwich I like to make, that’s healthy and can be utilized by:

  • Someone who wants to be a vegan.
  • Someone transitioning to a raw foods diet.

The bread I always use is sprouted grain bread, either wheat or multi-grain. Or, if you can find it, use 100% raw bread.

With this sandwich you get a lot of fresh raw veggies and herbs. Just make sure it’s always organic for optimum health and grown locally if at all possible.

There are a couple of variations to this, and of course you can start off with this basic recipe and make your own customized sandwich.

This recipe is simple to make, doesn’t require any cooking or baking time, and can be made in 10 minutes!

  • 2 slices ~ Ezekiel Cinnamon Raisin Sprouted Bread
  • 1 tbsp ~ Vegenaise
  • 1 thin slice ~ white onion
  • 1 slice ~ large tomato
  • 1 large leaf ~ Iceberg Lettuce
  • 1 quarter ~ Large Haas Avocado
  • 1 half cup ~ Broccoli Sprouts
  • 1 slice – Chao Vegan Cheese

From my experience, the following ingredients must be put together in the proper sequence to avoid the sandwich getting to soggy.

  1. Heat up two slices of Ezekiel Cinnamon Raisin bread in a microwave. (optional)
  2. Place bread slices on a plate.
  3. Spread Vegenaise on right bread slice.
  4. Spread Avocado on left bread slice.
  5. Place the following on the right bread slice in the following order: Onion Slice, Tomato Slice, Chao Vegan Cheese slice, and lettuce leaf. You’ll want to break the lettuce leaf into separate pieces to fit in the sandwich.
  6. Place the Broccoli Sprouts on top of the Avocado on the left bread slice.
  7. The carefully put the two bread slices (with all the ingredients) together.
  8. Optional: Slice in half.
