Raw Vegan: Super-Charged Cacao Banana Smoothie

  • This is my NEW & IMPROVED version of the infamous Raw Cacao Banana Smoothie!
  • This has been my morning smoothie for what feels like eons.
  • It uses only 1 tablespoon of Raw Cacao, which is about 13.20 milligrams of caffeine. Not much, for those trying to go easy on the caffeine.

Super-Charged Cacao Banana Smoothie

Servings: 1-2
Total Time: 10-15 Minutes




Base Ingredients

  • 2 ~ Medium-size Bananas – ripe, with some black spots
  • 1 cup ~ Organic Almond Milk – plain, unsweetened
  • 1 tbsp ~ Organic Raw Cacao Powder
  • 17 ~ Ice Cubes
  • 1 serving ~ Sun Warrior Raw Protein Powder or other Raw Protein (about 2 tbsp)
Super-Charge It!
  • 1-2 ounces ~ Organic Blueberries
  • 1 tsp ~ Maca Powder
  • 1 tsp ~ MSM Crystals



  1. Simply place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth yet thick.


Additional Notes

  1. If you use bananas with black spots, you don’t need any additional sweeteners. I no longer recommend Agave Nectar.
  2. This recipe uses Sun Warrior Raw Protein Powder, which contains all the essential amino acids, plus antioxidants, superfoods (Raw Organic Pea Protein, Raw Cranberry Protein, Raw Organic Hemp Seed Protein, Coconut)
