Saturday Update: Odds and Ends on May 20, 2017

We have to look at ourselves as survivors. Each day is a new day, and the day is open to possibilities. Thoughts and ideas can be translated into actions and deeds.

We may struggle, and obstacles might come in our way. But, we have to come up with the plan that will avoid possible pitfalls, and tread the line between risk and adventure, chance and logic.

The notions of win or lose, of success or failure, should be taken out of the equation. And replaced with the simple tasks of personal improvement and progression.

I know these thoughts are sort of vague and lacking of details, but it’s all related to the big picture, or the grand scheme of things.

Life is a journey in the end, and not a destination. Well, we have already arrived. Now is the time to experience things and doing so on our own terms.

I try to avoid comparing myself to others, because my goal is to forge my own path, which in turn makes me more of an individual. But at the same time it’s essential to connect with like-minded individuals with whom you can trust.

Trust and integrity are two important factors in an individual.

If someone were to deceive you, how could you know that person might deceive you in the future? That bond of friendship and trust is broken.

These are my random thoughts, in real time as I type this out.

The people with whom I’ve made a connection with are the people I have trusted and know that they trust me. The feeling should be mutual.

Our colleagues and friends are our inner circle with whom we connect toward a positive and greater purpose… it’s all about aiming for progress… personal improvement and at the same time being of service to others.

The hard thing to learn is to be of service to others and to help them. Because naturally, we all want to try and get ahead. Nothing wrong with that, but once again, in the grand scheme of things the best accomplishments are in the deeds of helping others in some way.

Even billionaires like Warren Buffett and Bill Gates have realized that (even though they are in need of tax right-offs) their foundations to help others are even more fulfilling than to just achieve personal gain and fortune.

Anyway, it’s a beautiful day today.

Enjoy your weekend.
