I’ve been getting started with the garden again.
It’s January in San Diego and the sun has been shining after we experienced three storm systems that dumped lots of water into the ground.
The was massive flooding and lots of eucalyptus trees had fallen. A few people were killed or injured by all this, just to show how heavy and dangerous these storm systems were.
But the good thing is that we have sunshine for several days in January going into February, and the soil is drenched. The local water authority in San Diego County has stated that the drought in this county is over.
Okay, good news!
So, here I am, cleaning up the debris and trying to first make things neat again in the garden.
I’ve been pruning the rose bushes because it’s January, and I’ve been starting the compost piles again.
And here we go again.
I’ll try to update as much as I can regarding the progress of the garden, as I continue to work on creating a meditation garden in the backyard.
Wish me luck…
