Where Did Everybody Go? And Other Tales…

Precious Metals

This is the late, late edition of the Morning Cup, a part of the Zen Garden Network.

By the way, where did everyone go? The stock market has been slow and not much activity has been going on, so I’m guessing all the rich investors have gone off to the Hamptons or the Bahamas for Summer vacation!

Well, the trading session is over. so let’s do a quick recap.

Trump and the Stock Market

Check out: Trump says he ‘got out’ of stock market

There’s been a lot of talk about Donald Trump’s feud with the parents of a Muslim gold star hero. But what I think is more important news is billionaire investor Warren Buffett slamming Trump and how he made his fortune in real estate, and how Trump is proud of his bankruptcies. But the question remains… Why is Trump extremely reluctant to show his tax returns to the public like all presidential candidates have done in the past.

Warren Buffett challenged Donald Trump to meet and share their tax returns together!

Anyway, Trump says he wants nothing to do with the stock market, and he got out because there are ‘very scary scenarios’. And that he also doesn’t care much about Warren Buffett.

Warren Buffett Slams Donald Trump

U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Tuesday brushed off billionaire investor Warren Buffett’s blistering critique of his business acumen.

“I don’t care much about Warren Buffett,” Trump said on the FOX Business television network Tuesday morning, a day after Buffett lashed out at Trump in a speech at a campaign rally for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.

Interesting… because many more billionaires are invested in the stock market like Warren Buffett, Carl Icahn and George Soros. And these billionaires are many times richer than Trump!

Trump’s Real Estate Dealings and Bankruptcies

Anyway, Trump’s shady dealings with real estate, allegedly stiffing contractors and declaring bankruptcies to his advantage, just shows that he has found a way to game the system to the detriment of others. Is that the makings of a presidential candidate?

Ya Gotta Have Suspicions

I swear I’m not trying to be political or swaying toward Hillary’s side, but politics aside, the average person has to have suspicions over the way Trump has made his fortunes over the years.

Anyway, enough of that. I’m just disappointed in Trump’s negative view of the stock market since I’m fully invested in the markets. It’s a vital part of the economic system and capitalism, which has succeeded when other ideologies like Communism and Socialism—and even Dictatorship–have failed.
