One of My NEW Favorites for Sushi

Recently, I’ve been having lunch at a little sushi restaurant in Old Town called Sushi Tadokoro.

This sushi restaurant is distinctly traditional and in the classic Japanese style.

Being vegan, I noticed they have but a couple of choices that I remember:

1. Vegetable Sushi Roll – this is somewhat a classic cut sushi roll in the Mako style, but every time I’ve had this roll it has been a bit different each time, like variations on a theme, and I like that very much. They have 2-3 sushi chefs working at one time, so perhaps that explains the variations. But, this simple vegetable roll is quite delicious and super fresh. This is a vegan roll.

2. Classic Cucumber Roll – I actually haven’t tried this one yet, but it looks like your standard cucumber roll. And vegan as well.

This place is expensive, and my wife’s Dragon Roll was $24 (it contains eel, shrimp and crab)! But the quality, freshness and attention to the traditional Japanase style of sushi is worth noting.

Selected Items

Green Tea with Classic Ceramics

Dragon Roll

Vegetable Roll

Green Salad

Lychee Ice Cream

Overall, this was a very exceptional experience dining here. The sushi restaurant is small and quaint, the service is superb and not so crowded during lunch. Dinner is different, as the place is packed in the evenings.

I’ll definitely be back.
