The Obligatory Beginning of April Post

To Be Or Not Be So Random?

Well, I’m thinking, what’s so ‘obligatory’ about an obligatory post at the beginning of April? Of at the start of any month, for that matter?

It goes to show how a bit dis-organized I can be. It would be ultimately nice to have certain traditional types of blog posts, like what the more popular blogs do, such as a post that highlights the ‘Best of April’, or something similar.

I tend to do that, but with less consistency.

A Database of Creative Ideas

What would be nice, ideally, would be to create a database or spreadsheet that documents all these types of posts.

For example:

  • Beginning-of the month update.
  • End of-the-month recap.
  • Middle-of-the-month update.
  • Some post-event follow-up.
  • Whatever-holiday-falls-in-this-current-month post.

It would seem rather tedious to devote oneself to this types of posts, and might prove that I have nothing going on in my life. Like, the ones who travel extensively who post their travels and ramblings throughout Europe, Asia, etc.

It would be nice. But then, from past experience, I’ll be having so much fun I wouldn’t have the time to update the site!

The Title Analyzer

By the way, there’s a great tool I use to help me come up with great titles to posts and analyzes it’s impact. Check out this Title Analyzer and let me know what you think?

Getting to the Next Level of Consistency?

One needs to be disciplined in that type of endeavor, and I do admire those peeps who can do that (update their blogs religiously) AND travel extensively. There are a few people who do that (and I envy them) and they even post extensively on Instagram!

I’ve done this in the past, although once again, not with great consistency. But, that’s why I’m ‘Randomguru’! I tend to do things randomly and sporadically, when the inspiration and the motivation hits me, I guess.

So, to think within a more creative and productive vein, this will be what I’ll be trying to do with this site. Get more organized so that I can be more consistent in the types of posts I write here.

Wish me luck .:.
