The Obligatory Fourth of July Update

Happy 4th of July to ALL Americans out there!

This is just a quick update, as I’ve been quite busy this weekend. I spent the Wednesday and Thursday in Riverside, then went home with my wife.

I had a gig yesterday and a gig earlier today. It was fun as usual, but I’m very tired right now because of the gigs plus all the Fourth of July activities.

I did the barbecue again as usual and I baked the chicken wings and the salmon first, then brought it out to the barbecue grill. But I had a problem with getting the coals hot. And I kept working it and working it, adding more coals and re-lighting the fire. And pour the lighter fluid over the fire. Suddenly, the fire had gotten out of control and I burned the Salmon. Oh well.

We’re just going to see the local fireworks from the top of this hill near the high school, and we’ll just kick back and watch the fireworks on TV.

Once again, I was feeling very tired later in the afternoon after my gig and the heat was probably a factor in getting me tired.
