Thursday, April 12, 2018: Rally Mode, DOW +310 Points, Best Uptrends

In Thursday Rally Mode

As I write this, the DOW is up +310 points. Of course, with this current highly volatile stock market, who knows what will happen in the next hour.

As far as geopolitical events are concerned, Trump has been tweeting whatever has been at the top of his head, and with great frequency. But, you know what? At this point people should be de-sensitized to his rhetoric by now, and the markets should move on.

Trump likes to make threats and dish out the drama on his twitter account. But, keep in mind, his tweets aren’t the law, and our great nation has the legislative and judicial departments to uphold the law. This isn’t a dictatorship, but I believe Trump thinks in those terms, and that’s what makes him dangerous.

But also dangerous is how he’s trying to manipulative the stock market by trash talking companies and individual CEOs. And the joke is, with each tweet, we learn more and more that he really isn’t a very well-read president.

But getting back to our rally this morning…

I’m checking the DOW and it’s still above 300 points.

Understanding the Current Volatility

Here’s the deal…

We have to accept the current volatility.

We have to understand that the possibility exists that this current stock market situation could be more than a correction.

With these thoughts in mind, it’s important to keep some capital ready while at the same time keep a certain amount of cash flow away from the stock market.

But it’s not a total lost cause.

Just keep the bigger picture into perspective.

And believe in the companies that are truly doing great, and stick to them. And also, it would be an excellent idea to invest in stocks that offer good dividends.

Best Uptrending Stocks

Out of all my current watch lists, I’ve whittled it down to the two best uptrending stocks, and have recently added these to the portfolio. If you look at the charts, these two stocks are in a perfect uptrend. And various assessments make them a good buy during these highly volatile times.

Should you buy these? Well, you’ll have to read my disclaimer below. I’ve already bought these stocks, so qué sera sera, smiley face.
