    As a musician, I’ve had maybe one close call with “big time” success, and it was a very enriching experience, and also disappointing as well.

    It’s a heartbreaker when you think you’re riding a big wave of success, only for the bandleader to call you one day to let you go. Supposedly, I was replaced by another drummer just before this big success would happen.

    Thoughts on Beethoven’s ‘Pathetique Sonata’

    The more I listen and become better acquainted with Beethoven’s epic Sonata No. 8 ‘Pathetique Sonata’, the more I can feel the emotional impact that this music conveys.

    I’m currently working on the 2nd movement again, to really get it down. Of course, I don’t have the chops to handle the 1st and 3rd movements, but one day hope to get it down.
