yesterday’s piano gig at memory care was quite surreal… one of the ladies said ‘i love you’… and when i was finished another lady asked, ‘are you going to start soon?’ one of the men yelled out, ‘he’s already done!’
i did the Beethoven Sonata Pathetique 2nd movement to end the performance, but they wanted more… so i officially ended with ‘take me out to the ballgame’, which is always a great sing-a-long tune.Read more

The more I listen and become better acquainted with Beethoven’s epic Sonata No. 8 ‘Pathetique Sonata’, the more I can feel the emotional impact that this music conveys.
I’m currently working on the 2nd movement again, to really get it down. Of course, I don’t have the chops to handle the 1st and 3rd movements, but one day hope to get it down.Read more
