Trying to Get Back on Track?

It’s as if a huge weight is upon the stock market’s shoulders. Like a large boulder that Wall Street is trying to get out from under. But, for many companies the real test of a rebound will happen after first quarter earnings are posted. Then we might possibly see some gap ups!

How can we tell that the stock market is still struggling? Well, aside from the major stock indexes like the DOW and NASDAQ, just looking at Apple stock (AAPL), the company that has the largest market cap is a good indicator or how the markets are doing.

If Apple does well with its stock performance, the probability is great that the rest of the market will follow suit, regardless of geo-political events. Well, that’s how I see it, anyway.

As you can see in the chart below, Apple is still struggling in 2018.
