This is an intriguing set of Yogic Practices that I’ve seen in books, but have not tried, myself.
At least, I’ve never seen any American Yogis and Yoginis do this, as they are more into the Asanas (postures) and Dhyana (meditation).
This esoteric, rather gross form of internal cleansing is something quite foreign to Americans, but very interesting.
I don’t know if I will ever try these practices, but I have fasted for as long as 2.5 weeks on nothing but water. I wouldn’t recommend this because of the loss of muscle tissue. But a 2-3 juice or water fast is more management if you are in optimum health.
