Yoga, Gardening, Drumming and Piano Playing
This post is more lamentation than observation.
I’ve seriously been neglecting the garden lately. And for those who’ve been following me, I’ve posted some very nice photos from the rose garden in the past. It’s just sad, but I’ve been trying to find the time, and my only excuse is that I’m trying to do several different things at the same time each week.
For one, gardening has definitely taken a backseat to my Yoga practice, which I’m doing by take classes 3-4 times a week and also doing 35 minute Yoga sessions at home whenever I can.
Also, I’m more focused on growing the stock portfolio these days than growing rose bushes, being that I’ve been concerned about how I’ll survive during retirement.
And I’ve been gigging a lot more by drumming in different bands and having a weekly piano gig. The piano gig has also been a focus since I’m trying to build my repertoire of songs, from Classical pieces to Stride Classics.
And I also think that going on a yearly trip abroad kind of messes with my routines. Not only does the jetlag happen for a good couple of weeks, but just having routines disrupted kind of makes me start from scratch.
Anyway, I hope to focus more on gardening, because I do need to fertilize those rose bushes!
